The Sydney Swans hosted the boys from “orange county” on Saturday night and like the Hawks, Eagles and Bombers they were focused on recording a big percentage boosting win and they did just that body slamming the young Giants by (94) points on the bell.

Tthe Essendon Bombers hosted the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night in another “no name game” as the black and red army march on towards September glory and as for the Dogs …”death row” down at the local pound. It was yet another game where it wasn’t worth turning on the giggle box and paying the highest electricity rates in the world to watch!

The West Coast Eagles hosted the winless Gold Coast Suns at Patersons Stadium on Saturday afternoon, in the first of the “no name games”of the round. The sinking Suns were in for a very hard day in “the snake pit”. The home side were about as compassionate “as a starving shark” as they totally dismantled the young Suns to the tune of (126) points on the horn.

The Adelaide Crows hosted the Richmond Tigers at AAMI Stadium on Saturday in a game both teams really needed to win, Richmond more than the Crows. In a game that saw the Tigers squander a (33) point lead in the first quarter to run out losers by (19) points on the final bell.

The Collingwood Magpies and the Fremantle Dockers locked horns at “The G” on Saturday afternoon in a match that on paper looked like a “gimme” for the surging black and white army as they were starring down the barrel of (10) straight on the trot. As for the visiting Dockers they were still reeling from a (24) point spanking at the hands of the Bombers last week.
